The Lawson Family
Patient: Dominik
Age: 2
Diagnosis: Kidney Failure
Length of Stay: 9 months and counting
This is the second stay for Dominik and his family
at the Ronald McDonald House. Dominik was brought
into the world 12 weeks early because his kidneys
stopped working. Unfortunately, his first kidney transplant
was unsuccessful, so the family is back once more
searching for a miracle.
While Dominik receives daily treatments, the rest
of the family has made it a priority to stay strong
and together. Dominik's siblings, Kaylie and Donte
have both attended class at the Ronald McDonald House
School and Dominick's Dad commutes regularly from
his job as a hockey coach in their hometown of Taconite,
Minnesota. The family also spends quality time at
Wild games, as they take advantage of the generous
donations of tickets we receive at the House.
"The Ronald McDonald House has been a huge blessing.
The House cares for us so we are able to care for
our little boy... what a wonderful gift of kindness."
