The Ravelo Family Patient: Ivan Age: 6 Diagnosis: Fanconi Anemia Length of Stay: 3 months Ivan is from Chicago, Illinois and he loves basketball, baseball, wrestling and video games. Ivan and his family came to Minnesota so that he could receive a bone marrow transplant from his younger brother, Fabian. While at the Ronald McDonald House, Ivan and his family took full advantage of the courtyard, which serves as a central meeting place for families to share stories and enjoy a breath of fresh air away from the hospital during the warm summer months. When not receiving treatment, Ivan could be found cruising around the courtyard after learning how to ride a bike without training wheels during his stay... a precious moment made possible by his little brother.
