The Roufs Family
Patient: Adam
Length of Stay: 2 months
Dear Ronald McDonald House,
Our family does not how to begin to thank you for
everything the Ronald McDonald House has done for
us. The staff always had a smile on hand and was eager
to find out what they could do to help our family.
Everyone in the House respected our privacy and yet
we always knew that each one of you cared about our
situation.
The Ronald McDonald House School that Adam’s
brothers and sisters attended while he was in the
hospital was truly amazing. We would not have been
able to have all of our children with us during this
difficult time if it was not for your school. The
faculties and programs at the Ronald McDonald House
were far beyond our expectations. The House always
felt warm and comfortable. We particularly enjoyed
the variety of other rooms within the House where
our family could relax and spend time together.
As parents we appreciated the evening meals, ample
parking, building security, laundry facilities and
kitchen space. Our children loved the DVD collection,
therapy dogs, music with Mellissa, the gym, bouncy
house, bingo and all of the special visitors that
came to House providing encouragement and support.
Our children really enjoyed the countless programs
and activities provided each day and they looked forward
to each week’s “Calendar of Events.”
We were also grateful for the cleanliness of the building.
Everyone could see how diligently the staff worked
everyday to keep the entire House clean and welcoming.
Our family will be forever grateful for everyone at
the Ronald McDonald House. You made a very difficult
time for our family much easier. I cannot imagine
what would have happened to our family if we had to
be separated during Adam’s hospital stay. Our
other children needed us too and you made being together
possible. We hope to someday repay you for your kindness
and help. For now, we remember you in our prayers
of gratitude and speak publicly about the Ronald McDonald
House whenever we have the opportunity.
For everything, we simply say, “Thank you.”
Sincerely,
The Roufs
